Nhiều học sinh từng hỏi: “Cô ơi, sao lớp Intensive lại nghiêm vậy?” Câu trả lời của LinhUK rất rõ: nghiêm không phải để làm khó học sinh, mà để bảo vệ nhịp học.

Trong một khóa học kéo dài 6 tuần, mỗi buổi học là một mắt xích. Hôm nay học sinh được chẩn đoán lỗi, ngày mai luyện lại đúng dạng, vài ngày sau quay lại lỗi cũ ở mức khó hơn, rồi cuối tuần đo lại tiến bộ. Nếu học sinh bỏ nhịp 1–2 buổi, các em không chỉ mất kiến thức của hôm đó, mà còn mất luôn cả chuỗi sửa lỗi – luyện lại – đo tiến bộ.

Điều đầu tiên là không nghỉ học trừ trường hợp bất khả kháng và có xin phép từ gia đình. LinhUK không khuyến khích học sinh tự quyết định nghỉ học vì mệt, bận hoặc chưa làm xong bài. Với lớp Intensive, nghỉ một buổi có thể làm đứt mạch học của cả tuần.

Điều thứ hai là không chấp nhận lý do cho việc không làm bài tập. Bài tập trong Intensive không phải phần “làm cho có”. Đó là phần bắt buộc để học sinh đóng lỗi và tạo phản xạ. Nếu học sinh chỉ lên lớp nghe giảng nhưng không luyện lại, lỗi cũ sẽ quay lại rất nhanh.

Điều thứ ba là không vào lớp nếu đi muộn mà không có xin phép từ gia đình. Đi muộn 5–10 phút trong một lớp bình thường có thể chỉ là mất vài phút đầu. Nhưng trong lớp Intensive, phần đầu buổi thường là lúc giáo viên nối lại lỗi cũ, set mục tiêu cho buổi học và khởi động đúng kỹ năng. Mất phần này, học sinh rất dễ học lệch nhịp.

Với các trường hợp vi phạm, LinhUK sẽ nhắc nhở và thông báo tới gia đình. Nếu học sinh vi phạm quá nhiều lần, LinhUK có thể từ chối tiếp tục nhận học. Điều này nghe có vẻ nghiêm, nhưng mục tiêu là để bảo vệ chất lượng lớp học, bảo vệ thời gian của những bạn học nghiêm túc và cũng bảo vệ chính học sinh khỏi việc tự bỏ rơi mục tiêu của mình.

Có “phạt” không? Có, nhưng phạt để học sinh trưởng thành hơn

Học sinh cũ của LinhUK chắc không còn xa lạ với những hình phạt rất “cô Linh”: lau lá, quét sân, dọn lớp, làm lao động công ích hoặc tự xử lý một phần việc chung khi không hoàn thành bài hay vi phạm nội quy.

Nhưng ở LinhUK, phạt không phải để làm học sinh xấu hổ. Phạt là để học sinh hiểu rằng mỗi hành động đều có hệ quả. Khi em không làm bài, em không chỉ ảnh hưởng đến điểm số của mình. Em còn làm đứt nhịp sửa lỗi. Khi em đi muộn, em không chỉ mất vài phút. Em làm mất mạch học của chính mình và đôi khi ảnh hưởng đến tốc độ của cả lớp.

Rất nhiều học sinh cấp 3 thông minh, có năng lực, nhưng chưa có kỷ luật tự thân. Các em có thể học rất nhanh khi có hứng, nhưng lại dễ bỏ cuộc khi mệt, bận hoặc thấy khó. Khi lỗi này được đưa vào bảng lỗi và quay lại nhiều lần qua từng buổi, bạn bắt đầu giảm số câu sai không phải vì học thêm quá nhiều từ, mà vì biết cách đọc đúng hơn.

Một bạn khác luyện Writing rất chăm nhưng điểm Task Response không cải thiện. Trước đó, bạn nghĩ mình cần thêm template. Nhưng sau vài buổi, LinhUK nhận ra vấn đề là bạn thường trả lời lệch trọng tâm câu hỏi và triển khai ý thiếu logic. Nếu chỉ nhìn nội quy, nhiều bạn có thể nghĩ lớp Intensive Hè LinhUK rất căng. Nhưng học sinh cũ thường nói lớp này “nghiêm mà vui”. Bởi LinhUK không chỉ nhắc lỗi, mà còn ghi nhận tiến bộ.

Khi cả lớp đạt một mốc tiến bộ, giữ được nhịp học tốt hoặc hoàn thành một chặng khó, lớp thường có những buổi liên hoan nhỏ. Đôi khi chỉ là một bữa ăn nhẹ, một buổi ngồi lại sau giờ học, nhưng cảm giác rất khác: học sinh thấy mình không đi một mình.

At LinhUK, six weeks is a short period of time. If students cannot maintain the rhythm, they can easily fall into the feeling of “studying more but getting more confused.” That is why the LinhUK Intensive course is not only an IELTS preparation programme.
